Language & Literacy Skills:
Our curriculum is based on monthly themes which help in language and vocabulary development. Children are also exposed to letter recognition and phonetics (letter sounds). A variety of poems, action songs and rhymes are used to enhance vocabulary and listening skills. Children are also introduced to pre- writing skills like pattern writing which prepares them for the next level of class. Besides our prime focus on English, we impart a unique exposure to basic Hindi Language through Alphabet – “Swars” and Rhymes.
Social and Physical Development
The routine followed at Scoobees provides opportunities for children to listen, share, cooperate, take turns as they work in groups. Thus helping them to be independent and build on their social skills. Children develop their gross motor skills such as running, jumping, throwing, balancing, The curriculum also provides for practicing coordination skills through activities like stringing beads, cutting, puzzles, clay molding etc which are required for writing, drawing and other activities.
Creativity
Monthly thematic units encourage curiosity, self direction imagination and confidence. Children get a chance to display their creativity through drawing, art and music.
Math Skills
Children at this age are introduced to more advanced math skills. Our curriculum builds on what your child learnt in the previous class. They are introduced to the rich world of numbers and there is a continuous re-enforcement of the basic math concepts of sorting, grouping, matching, sequencing, and number counting.
